Reports indicate that local police were dispatched to the area shortly after receiving a notification regarding the accident. Upon arrival, the patrol unit established that the rider had attempted to pass a line of stationary or slow-moving vehicles when the motorcycle struck a deep pothole in the road. The force of the impact caused the motorcycle, described by the rider as a new model, to break down.
