Police were called to Palm Beach on Tuesday night after Palm Beach SETAR cables were found hanging very low over the roadway near Wacky Wahoo.
Officers were dispatched to the area after concerns were raised that the low-hanging cables could interfere with normal traffic and potentially create a safety issue for motorists using the road.
When the police patrol arrived, officers determined that the cables belonged to SETAR, Aruba’s telecommunications provider.
Police then contacted SETAR and requested that the company address the situation as quickly as possible.
The concern was that the cables were hanging unusually close to the roadway, making it important for repairs or adjustments to be carried out before they could further disrupt traffic.
Authorities wanted the obstruction corrected so vehicles could continue travelling normally through the Palm Beach area.
No injuries or accidents were reported in connection with the incident.
Motorists travelling through the area were advised to remain cautious while the issue was being addressed.
The incident highlights the importance of quickly repairing damaged or displaced utility infrastructure, particularly in busy areas such as Palm Beach where vehicle and pedestrian traffic can be significant.
