On Friday, December 5th, the official opening of the new building of the Department of Social Affairs (DAS) took place in Lagoen, along with the inauguration of the department’s new logo.
The staff and team at DAS celebrated this important milestone, joined by the Minister of Social Affairs and Public Health, Mervin Ras, who is himself a Social Worker by profession.
In his opening remarks, the minister expressed pride and gratitude for this significant achievement. He emphasized that the new facility represents a strategic step forward, designed to improve accessibility and ensure a more dignified, human-centered, and efficient service for the people of Aruba.
During the ceremony, DAS reaffirmed its commitment to service excellence, built on the core principles of engagement, trust, communication, responsibility, and collegiality.
Minister Ras also highlighted the positive progress within Aruba’s social sector and congratulated DAS Director Rosanna van Dijk and her dedicated team for their ongoing service to the Aruban community.
