ORANJESTAD, Aruba – NGO Academy Plans Leadership Conference as preparations are underway for another Governance & Leadership Conference aimed at strengthening Aruba’s nonprofit sector. The event, expected to take place in the coming months, will once again bring together nonprofit leaders, governance experts and community organizations to promote stronger leadership, better governance and long-term organizational sustainability.
The upcoming conference builds on the success of last year’s inaugural Governance & Leadership Conference, which marked an important milestone for Aruba’s social and nonprofit sector. The initiative was organized through a collaboration between the University of Aruba, CEDE Aruba, and Caribbean Mercantile Bank (CMB Bank). One of the conference’s major highlights was the official introduction of the NGO Academy, a platform designed to support and strengthen nonprofit organizations across the island.
During the previous conference, participants attended a dynamic program featuring keynote presentations, educational workshops and panel discussions led by both local and international experts. The sessions provided nonprofit professionals, board members and community leaders with valuable insights into effective organizational management, governance practices and leadership development.
The conference focused on helping nonprofit organizations improve their governance structures while strengthening leadership skills and ensuring long-term sustainability.
