As the countdown concludes for the FIFA World Cup 2026, Magic 96.5 FM has announced preparations to bring comprehensive coverage to Aruba. The tournament officially begins this week, transforming the global stage into the planet’s largest sporting event. Magic FM aims to deliver a dynamic and innovative broadcast for local listeners.
The 2026 edition is unique, featuring a record number of participating teams and players. To keep the community informed and entertained, Magic FM will broadcast more than half of the official matches live. The station has curated a special programming schedule to cover the tournament’s duration.
Veteran narrator Cadochi Kock will lead the coverage. Kock has been synonymous with football on Aruban radio for decades. He will be joined by Devin de Veer, who brings deep knowledge of the sport and an analytical perspective, along with experience in youth talent development. According to Magic FM, De Veer represents a new generation of sports experts who combine practical experience with a passion for the game.
The coverage includes a new segment titled “Info Mundial,” presented by Arianne Westerburger directly from the Netherlands. This segment will provide international updates, reactions, and trends. Additionally, Magic FM will conduct live remote broadcasts from various locations across Aruba, allowing fans to gather and share the experience. Confirmed locations include Eagle Bowling, Tierra del Sol, and Centro di Bario Playa Pabou.
“Our goal is not just to cover football. We want to create a complete World Cup experience for all of Aruba. With live transmissions, professional analysis, special guests, and community presence, we believe this year’s coverage will be truly memorable,” the station stated. Magic FM also extended its gratitude to the sponsors and commercial partners supporting the project.
