Grupo Melodia is celebrating 15 years of performing in Aruba with a concert scheduled for Saturday, September 26, at New China Club in Caya Ritmo.
Concert dedicated to Maybeline Arends-Croes
The group says the anniversary show will feature its varied repertoire and will be dedicated to Maybeline Arends-Croes, who holds a special place in the band’s history.
Melodia has performed at festivals, community events, schools, family celebrations and other programs during its 15 consecutive years together. A fan club is helping the group organize anniversary activities.
More anniversary projects planned
The September concert is described as the first of several projects connected with the Grupo Melodia 15th anniversary. The band also plans to release a promotional song and prepare its customary year-end music production on USB.
The source included ticket and sponsor information, which has been omitted here because the news development is the group’s milestone and announced cultural program. No complete performance schedule or list of additional anniversary projects was available.
Update — October 1, 2026: Sold-Out Anniversary Concert
Grupo Melodia has delivered the concert its fans were waiting for. On Saturday night, the group celebrated 15 consecutive years with a sold-out show at the New China Club, performing two hours and forty minutes of non-stop music for a completely packed hall.
The evening was organized by the group’s fan club, which ran the event in a professional and well-coordinated way, starting exactly at 7 p.m. Melodia performed a varied repertoire of creole, classic and international songs, and the night ended with dancing amid a joyful atmosphere.
A highlight of the evening was the tribute to Maybelline Arends-Croes, who received a plaque from Melodia in recognition of her contribution over the group’s 15 years. She was also presented with a bouquet of flowers by Kiziah Trimon, one of the group’s longest-serving members and a former student of Maybelline.
Looking ahead, Melodia is working on a new musical release and a year-end production. On November 20 the group will travel to Curaçao for a series of performances, before returning to celebrate together with fans in districts across Aruba.
