The Brazil Day 2026 Season marks the 16th anniversary of the annual celebration organized by Fundacion Chico Harms. The festivities will begin at the start of July and continue until the first Sunday of September, when Brazil Day is officially celebrated. The annual event is linked to the harvest season, the anniversary of the Brazil Community Center, and the inauguration of Bernadina Growell-Kock Street, honoring the woman widely recognized as the Mother of Culture.
Throughout the celebration, residents and visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of cultural activities, including the Acoustic Parade, Festival Cantica di Caya, Festival Un Canto na Bernadina, Batacaso Tipico, the Election and Crowning of the Aruba Folklore Queen, the Lantern Parade, the Tambú Festival, and the Grand Cultural Folklore Parade.
The season will conclude with the Lantern Parade on Friday, September 4, followed by the Grand Cultural Folklore Parade on Sunday, September 6, 2026, beginning at 3:00 p.m. The parade route will pass through communities traditionally associated with Brazil, including Rooi Master, Caya di Brazil, Mabon, Noord Cura Cabay, and Rooi Koochi.
Fundacion Chico Harms is encouraging the entire community to participate in the celebrations and help preserve Aruba’s cultural heritage for future generations.
