Funari has launched a three-month fundraising campaign to help maintain rehabilitation services provided at no charge to its clients in Aruba. The “A Step for Life” initiative will run from September through November.
Campaign coordinator Brenda Rasmijn said the organization currently serves 25 clients. Its activities include bed-based movement therapy, cycling therapy and other specialized exercises adapted to participants’ needs.
Clients helped shape the campaign
Activity guide Jaydienne Loefstop said the fundraising concept was developed together with Funari’s clients. Donors receive a colored path sticker that can carry their name or the message “I walk with Funari,” connecting each contribution to the campaign’s theme of movement and progress.
The suggested contribution levels are represented by four colors: yellow for Afl. 10 or more, blue for Afl. 50 or more, green for Afl. 100 or more, and pink for Afl. 200 or more.
Supporting year-round services
Funari provides its programs throughout the year without charging clients. That makes voluntary contributions important for equipment, activities and the continuity of therapeutic support.
The campaign gives residents and organizations a structured way to help sustain services through the end of November. Funari is expected to continue sharing information about participation as the drive progresses.
