FreeZone Aruba’s 2025 results closed on a positive note for the second consecutive year following a continuing process of reorganization and professionalization, Finance Minister Geoffrey Wever announced.
The company’s 2025 annual accounts were approved during its general meeting of shareholders. Their approval also brings FreeZone Aruba N.V. fully up to date after earlier delays in completing annual financial statements.
Revenue and operating performance
FreeZone Aruba recorded Afl. 2,042,222 in revenue for 2025, according to the announcement. Operating expenses declined slightly, and the company finished the year with a positive result.
An external auditor also issued a favorable opinion on the 2025 annual accounts. Together, the approved statements and audit opinion provide confirmation that the company’s financial reporting is current.
Second consecutive positive year
The result marks FreeZone Aruba’s second positive year in a row. The government attributed that progress to structural changes and concrete steps taken during the organization’s reorganization.
Wever said the work will continue now that the company’s administrative and financial foundation has been put in order. The next phase will focus on building on that foundation and attracting additional commercial activity.
New commercial activity under development
Several companies are currently in the process of establishing operations in the FreeZone, with further activity expected during the coming months.
The stated objective is to develop a modern and competitive FreeZone that contributes to investment, commercial activity and broader diversification of Aruba’s economy.
