Caribbean Culinary History in the Making: Aruba Welcomes Terra by Jeremy Ford

EAGLE BEACH, ARUBA — A new chapter in Caribbean fine dining begins this summer with the opening of Terra by Jeremy Ford at Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, Aruba’s renowned adults-only eco-luxury destination. This landmark restaurant will be led by Chef Jeremy Ford, whose Miami-based restaurant, Stubborn Seed, has earned both a Michelin Star for culinary excellence and the rare Michelin Green Star for sustainability—a first for the Caribbean.

A Michelin Star Meets a Green Star

Chef Ford, celebrated for winning Top Chef Season 13 and a James Beard Award nominee, brings a culinary pedigree few in the world can match. His Michelin Star signifies the highest level of gastronomic craftsmanship, while the Green Star recognizes elite commitment to sustainable practices. His leadership at Terra brings this unique double distinction to Aruba for the very first time.

Terra: Where Flavor Meets Responsibility

Terra by Jeremy Ford will offer a fine dining experience rooted in sustainability, seasonality, and local connection. The menu will highlight the richness of the region with dishes that evolve seasonally, incorporating ingredients sourced locally in Aruba and from Ford’s Farm, his 5.5-acre organic farm in Homestead, Florida. From regenerative cooking techniques to energy-efficient operations and zero-waste principles, every aspect of the restaurant is designed to honor both the planet and the plate.

Built With the Island, For the Island

Terra isn’t an imported concept—it’s a culinary vision developed specifically for Aruba in partnership with local chefs, farmers, fishermen, and artisans. Ford has joined forces with Maurice and Karim Neme, third-generation leaders in Aruban hospitality, to ensure the restaurant deeply reflects the island’s culture and natural abundance.

With the stunning setting of Bucuti & Tara, Terra promises an unmatched dining experience where world-class flavors, sustainable practices, and the beauty of Aruba come together. It’s a bold new step for the region and a proud moment for Caribbean gastronomy.

Terra by Jeremy Ford is set to become a landmark for eco-conscious fine dining in the Caribbean—where excellence and sustainability meet under one roof.
