A significant meeting took place this week between Prime Minister Mike Eman, Minister of Sports Gerlien Croes, and a delegation from FIFA in the Council of Ministers Hall in Cocolishi. The discussions focused on enhancing the professionalization of football in Aruba and improving the island’s sports infrastructure.
During their visit, representatives from FIFA and CONCACAF met with local football club leaders to discuss long-term development strategies and support initiatives. Minister Croes highlighted her ministry’s ongoing efforts to upgrade sports facilities, many of which are in urgent need of maintenance and modernization.
The collaboration between FIFA, CONCACAF, and the Aruban government aims to provide financial and technical assistance to strengthen football management, training, and infrastructure. This partnership is seen as a crucial step toward raising the standard of the sport and inspiring young athletes across the island.
