An FCCA Venezuela relief donation of Afl. 5,000 has been presented to Red Cross Aruba to support people affected by earthquakes in Venezuela.
FCCA employees began the collection internally, and management increased the total before the contribution was delivered. Jessica Posner and Shahayra Loefstok presented the check to Red Cross representative Rosmarly Mejia.
Financial aid prioritized
According to DIARIO, Red Cross Aruba said financial assistance is currently more useful than donated goods because it can be directed to urgent needs. Response priorities include health support, mental-health assistance and access to clean drinking water.
The FCCA Venezuela relief donation follows other Aruba-based fundraising initiatives launched after the late-June earthquakes.
