Free Aruba dementia talks will be held in several neighborhoods this month to help older residents and families distinguish normal aging from possible cognitive illness.
The Department of Older Persons, represented by Damara Rasmijn, announced sessions for September 8 at MFA Paradera from 4 to 6 p.m.; September 10 at Bright Bakery from 9 to 11 a.m.; and September 16 at MFA Santa Cruz from 4 to 6 p.m.
Information for seniors and families
The sessions will cover memory changes, dementia warning signs and the importance of seeking a reliable assessment. Additional meetings for San Nicolas, Noord and Playa are expected to be announced later.
The Aruba dementia talks are open to seniors and relatives. Registration information is available through the organizing department at 280-5004.
