A new SETAR tourism transition program collaboration is giving university students practical design challenges linked to connectivity and sustainable destination planning.
Students in the University of Aruba FHTMS minor “Destinations in Transition,” delivered with NHL Stenden, visited SETAR for a presentation on Giganet and the telecommunications company’s role as a program client and partner.
Students to present recommendations
SETAR provided two design challenges for the class. Students will research the questions and later present recommendations aimed at supporting a more sustainable transition for Aruba’s tourism economy.
The SETAR tourism transition program connects classroom work with an operating island company and gives students an opportunity to test ideas against real local needs.
