The Papiamento-language news platform, which has provided reporting on local, regional, and international affairs since 2014, published the updated guidelines to reaffirm its commitment to accountability and independence.
The organization states that Wired Media, a private Aruban company, maintains full editorial control without affiliation to political parties or government bodies. The technology platform is managed by Dot 1 Technologies under a paid hosting agreement, though the company holds no editorial role. NoticiaCla relies on advertising revenue and specifies that sponsored content is always clearly labeled to distinguish it from news reporting.
Regarding journalistic integrity, the standards dictate that reporters identify sources by name wherever possible. Anonymous sources are utilized only when information serves the public interest and the source faces a credible risk. Facts are verified against independent sources before publication, and all articles require sign-off from an editor to ensure accuracy and legal compliance.
The publication also outlined its corrections policy, noting that substantive errors are flagged at the bottom of articles with the date and nature of the change. Readers may submit correction requests to corrections@noticiacla.com or info@noticiacla.com, with a goal to acknowledge receipts within two business days and resolve issues within five. Additionally, subjects of critical reporting are offered a right to reply. Editorial complaints that are not resolved through the corrections desk can be escalated to the leadership team at Wired Media.
