ORANJESTAD (AAN):
On Sunday morning, coinciding with Betico Day, Dutch officials visit Santa Rosa Aruba as part of an official working visit focused on public sector cooperation, agriculture, and inter-island collaboration.

The visiting delegation included Ms. Ayse Breukelaar-Uslu, Senior Advisor, and Ms. Anne Gorter, Organizational Advisor, representing O&P Rijk under the Dutch Ministry of the Interior. They were accompanied by Ms. Gabriella Kock-Helder, Policy Officer at Aruba’s Department of Human Resources.

During the visit, Santa Rosa Director Nathalie Maduro provided a guided tour of the facility and explained the department’s responsibilities, operational structure, and ongoing projects. She highlighted programs supported by Aruba’s Ministry of the Primary Sector, particularly in agriculture and fisheries.

The discussion also focused on the DCALFA alliance, a cooperation framework involving six Dutch Caribbean islands that promotes collaboration and knowledge exchange in agriculture and fisheries.

Despite Aruba’s geographic and environmental limitations, the Dutch officials expressed their appreciation for the range and quality of products cultivated locally. The visit demonstrated how Santa Rosa contributes not only to food production, but also to tourism, public health, and social development through fresh, locally grown products.

The Department of Santa Rosa extended its gratitude to the Department of Human Resources for facilitating the visit and for providing an opportunity to showcase the department’s strategic value to Aruba and its community.
