ORANJESTAD, Aruba — A Dutch ambassador Aruba visit brought Fred Duijn, the Kingdom of the Netherlands’ ambassador to Panama, to the island for the first time since his appointment in May 2026.
Governor receives ambassador
Governor Alfonso Boekhoudt received Duijn for a courtesy meeting at the Governor’s Ceremonial House. Juri Nicolaas, acting director of Aruba’s Department of Foreign Relations, accompanied the ambassador.

First Aruba trip since appointment
Duijn’s visit followed his appointment earlier this year as the Kingdom’s ambassador to the Republic of Panama.
