ORANJESTAD, Aruba — The Aruba police leadership program has selected officer Alfredo G. Villamizar for leadership training in Abu Dhabi.
Oranjestad officer selected
Villamizar serves as a uniformed police officer in the Oranjestad district. Family members, friends and colleagues accompanied him to Queen Beatrix International Airport on September 6, where Police Commissioner Ramon Arnhem and Oranjestad district chief Brown were also present.
The Aruba Police Force said the training forms part of its effort to strengthen international cooperation and invest in future leaders.
Six-month course completed by another officer
Officer Alvin Leonard recently completed the intensive six-month leadership course in Abu Dhabi. The police force said Leonard was the second Aruba officer to finish the advanced program successfully.
The selection and earlier course completion were announced by the Aruba Police Force and reported by AWE24.
