The Department of Labor and Research has announced a DAO half-day closure affecting its public offices and two Tienda Legal Laboral locations on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
The affected offices will close to the public at 12:00 p.m. Residents who need in-person assistance should plan to visit before noon or return when normal service resumes the following day.
Which labor-service locations will close?
The temporary closure applies to the DAO offices operating from the Departamento di Progreso Laboral building at Engelandstraat 33. It also applies to the Tienda Legal Laboral service points at MFA Savaneta and MFA Paradera.

Normal service resumes the next day
DAO said regular services will resume the following day according to the normal schedule. The department apologized for any inconvenience caused by the shortened public-service hours.
The announcement concerns a single half-day interruption. Anyone planning to visit DAO or either Tienda Legal Laboral location on Thursday should account for the earlier closing time.
