The Cuida Aruba cleanup campaign will return on August 28 and 29, 2026, with Bureau City Inspector playing a key role in coordinating logistics and waste collection across Aruba.
The Bureau City Inspector, known as BCI, is working together with the Crisis Management Office (CMO) to coordinate and plan the second edition of the national cleanup campaign.
Their work is intended to ensure that waste collection and disposal activities operate efficiently throughout the two-day initiative.
BCI to Coordinate Collection Points
One of BCI’s primary responsibilities will be helping CMO coordinate the designated areas and collection points where residents can dispose of waste.
BCI personnel will also be stationed at collection locations to guide residents and explain where different types of waste should be deposited.
Mobile BCI teams are expected to monitor the cleanup continuously. Their role will include checking that operations are proceeding properly and helping prevent waste from being dumped in unauthorized locations.
As part of the initiative, designated waste-disposal facilities will be available free of charge during the campaign.
Residents Asked to Separate Waste
BCI emphasized that proper waste separation will be one of the most important elements of the campaign.
Residents are being asked to cooperate by separating their waste correctly and following instructions at the designated collection locations.
The national cleanup will take place on Friday, August 28, and Saturday, August 29.
Residents are encouraged to use the occasion to clean their homes, neighborhoods and surrounding areas while making use of the collection points established for the campaign.
Organizers hope the Cuida Aruba cleanup will encourage island-wide participation and help residents work together toward cleaner neighborhoods and public spaces throughout Aruba.
