The organizing body SMAC has announced the winners for Carnival 72, with TOB taking the top honor of Group of the Year for the tenth consecutive time. The awards ceremony celebrated the creativity and hard work of the participants in the Grand Parades.
TOB secured multiple awards, including recognition for their road piece, body piece, and float designs. Rafael Scatilai and Gabriela Kock of TOB were also named King and Queen of Bands, respectively. Other winners included Champagne, which won awards for their mini-road piece and float, and Empire Carnival Group, recognized for their body piece and mass atmosphere.
The Best Roadshow award went to HEPA DMC Society. The results were met with celebration from the carnival community, marking the end of a successful Carnival season.
