Festival set for October 10 and 11
Autentico Aruba festival activities will run from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on October 10 and 11 around Wilhelminastraat and neighboring streets in central Oranjestad. The program includes food and drink stands, Aruba culinary offerings and local entertainment.
Setup continues through October 9
Site preparations began October 2 at Plaza Niki Habibe, Plaza Sabor and Plaza Comercio and continue daily from October 4 through 9. Residents and businesses may see technical crews, temporary structures, lighting, sound equipment and production vehicles, with sound checks scheduled on both festival days from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Parking and street access will change
The Aruba Tourism Authority warned of temporary parking restrictions and traffic diversions. Parking on the event route is prohibited from 6 p.m. October 9, and several roads will close to vehicles that evening. Access will also be limited at times during the festival weekend before dismantling runs October 12 through 14.
