Aruba beach tennis results in Brazil included a fourth-place U12 finish and several quarterfinal appearances across junior and pro divisions.
Leatherbacks return from Pan American championship
Aruba beach tennis results from the 2026 Pan American Beach Tennis Championship included several deep runs across junior and professional divisions. The Aruba Leatherbacks returned on September 29 after a 28-athlete delegation competed in Cuiabá, Brazil, from September 24 to 27.
Junior pair records Aruba's highest finish
Keoni Henriquez and Daymian van der Bent produced Aruba's highest placing, finishing fourth in U12 Boys' Doubles and ranking as the second-highest country behind Brazil. Taliana Corrales and Sofia Peterson placed seventh in U16 Girls' Doubles, while Samuel Gamboa and Jurre Kuiken finished eighth in U16 Boys' Doubles.
Quarterfinal appearances span junior and pro divisions
Four Aruba pairs reached junior mixed-doubles quarterfinals. In the professional draw, Xennon Ho-Asjoe and Sander Castro made the men's doubles quarterfinals, while two Aruba pairs advanced to the mixed-doubles quarterfinals. Dominique Hopman and Hailey Arendsz reached the second round of women's doubles.
Tournament adds international experience
The team prepared for seven months before facing players from across the region. Coaches Kristel Lyder, Wayne Tromp, Maria Buuts and Sergio Jie Sam Foek accompanied the delegation, together with team manager Marc Kiezebrink and assistant Yuraima Wernet.
