ORANJESTAD – The Aruba Tourism Authority recently had the privilege of recognizing Distinguished Ambassadors of Aruba. The ceremony was held at the Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa, where Mr. Chris Hoornbeck and Mrs. Kelli Otis from Canandaigua, New York, were honored for their unwavering loyalty and consistent visits to the island over the years.

Recognizing Exceptional Loyalty

The honorary certificate was presented to Mr. and Mrs. Hoornbeck on behalf of the Minister of Tourism as a token of appreciation for their years of dedicated visits to Aruba. This recognition is part of the Aruba Tourism Authority’s tradition of honoring guests who have visited Aruba for 10, 20, or 35 years or more consecutively.

Three Levels of Recognition

The three levels of recognition are:

  • Distinguished Visitor (10+ years consecutively visiting Aruba)

  • Goodwill Ambassador (20+ years consecutively visiting Aruba)

  • Emerald Ambassador (35+ years consecutively visiting Aruba)

Reasons for Returning to Aruba

When asked about the reasons for their continued visits, Mr. and Mrs. Hoornbeck shared the following:

  • Aruba’s weather – Consistently beautiful, ensuring a perfect escape every time.

  • Aruba’s beaches – Known for their beauty and serenity, making every beach day a memorable one.

  • Aruba’s food – A delightful variety of flavors that add to the island’s charm.

  • The people – The warm and welcoming locals that have made Aruba feel like a second home.

  • The hotel Manchebo – Their favorite place to stay, offering exceptional service and comfort.

A Heartfelt Thank You

On behalf of the Aruba Tourism Authority, Ms. Keyttin Silva presented the certificate to the honorees, along with staff from Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa. The Aruba Tourism Authority would like to express its deep gratitude to Mr. Hoornbeck and Mrs. Otis for their continued visits to the One Happy Island and for making Aruba their beloved vacation destination year after year.

Their dedication is a testament to Aruba’s enduring appeal, as the island continues to provide unforgettable memories for its loyal guests.
