The Aruba November reserve requirement for commercial banks will remain at 12.5%, following a Central Bank of Aruba monetary-policy committee decision made on October 2 and reported by 24ora on October 28. The decision takes effect November 1, 2026.
Reserves considered adequate
The central bank said foreign-exchange reserves were substantially above its monitored standards as of September 11. It expects reserves to remain adequate during 2026. This is a new effective-period decision, separate from the September reserve announcement.
Inflation and external risks monitored
According to the report, the average annual inflation measure rose from 0.7% in July to 1.0% in August, while the year-on-year end-of-period rate rose from 2.2% to 2.7%. The bank cited geopolitical uncertainty as a risk and said it would adjust policy when needed to support the florin’s fixed exchange rate with the US dollar.
