ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Aruba Lions Club Honors Old Skool Bikers for Community Support by recognizing the motorcycle group’s ongoing sponsorship and contributions that have helped fund charitable programs benefiting communities across the island.
According to Aruba Lions Club, Old Skool Bikers Aruba has been a major sponsor whose support has enabled the service organization to continue carrying out projects for the benefit of the Aruba community.
Sponsorship Helps Fund Community Donations
The club said that part of the funds received through the partnership has already been used to provide AWG 10,000 in donations to eight organizations in Aruba.
Aruba Lions Club added that it plans to increase its charitable donations in the coming year, allowing the organization to assist even more community groups dedicated to improving the well-being of Aruba’s residents.
Appreciation Presented During Installation Ceremony
During the installation ceremony for the club’s new board of directors, John Tromp, president of Old Skool Bikers Aruba, was invited to the stage to receive a plaque of appreciation on behalf of the organization’s members.
The award recognized the bikers’ valuable financial support and their commitment to helping Aruba Lions Club continue its community service initiatives.
A Long History of Service
Aruba Lions Club noted that it will celebrate its 80th anniversary in 2027, marking eight decades of community service on the island.
The club operates under the umbrella of Lions Clubs International, which includes more than 46,000 clubs in over 200 countries and territories, with approximately 1.4 million members worldwide. The international organization has served communities for more than 109 years, making it one of the world’s largest and oldest service organizations.

Aruba Lions Club reaffirmed its commitment to working alongside its partners to improve the quality of life for the people of Aruba through a variety of service programs, including:

- Smile Mobile
- Health Fair
- Back-to-School Food Bags
The organization also encouraged the public to stay informed about its upcoming activities and community service projects as it continues its mission of supporting those in need across Aruba.
