ANSA safety systems and investment in air-traffic services were highlighted by director Nilky Kock in an interview published by DIARIO on October 23. Kock said a review had begun that Wednesday focusing on the organization’s aeronautical-information unit.
Director outlines the scope of the review
According to Kock, Civil Aviation and other Kingdom bodies were involved in the audit. He said the review covered Aeronautica Information Affairs rather than the whole of Air Navigation Services Aruba N.V.
Kock expressed confidence in the organization’s progress and said he would have welcomed a full audit. Those statements are his assessment; the report does not publish an independent audit finding or final result.
Equipment and procedures developed over nearly 12 years
Kock said ANSA began operating on January 1, 2015. He described improvements in equipment, working methods and procedures as the organization matured.
He also said more than ten million had been invested in recent years in new equipment and upgrades, without specifying a currency in the quoted account. The director pointed to safety and quality management systems intended to support continuous improvement in safety and service efficiency.
