George Winterdaal is due to mark 35 years in radio on Friday, November 6, alongside the opening of his year-end programme Fin di Aña Cumi, Diario reports.
Radio anniversary and seasonal programme
Known to listeners as Tio George, the broadcaster began in radio at age 12. According to Diario, he worked with EJ Croes Production for almost 30 years and spent 23 years at Magic FM before joining Mas FM on April 1, 2022.
The report also marks the fifth anniversary of the seasonal programme.
Music planned outside Wayaca studios
The radio programme is scheduled to start at 6 p.m., with activities at Plaza Mas outside the station’s Wayaca studios beginning at 6:30 p.m. Diario names Melodia, Las Unicas and Muchanan di Mama Rosa among the musical groups expected.
The account announces the anniversary programme and community gathering. It does not report that the celebration has already taken place.
