Fontein Kindergarten has received a mini football field that Aruba’s education and sports ministry says will give young pupils a safe, accessible place for daily movement and play.
Field relocated from Carnival Village
The small artificial-turf field was previously installed at Carnival Village in San Nicolas during the World Cup season. It was used there by children and families before being moved to the kindergarten for continued sports and recreational use.
Education and Sports Minister Gerlien Croes formally handed over the facility on Monday. She said placing the field at a school creates more opportunities for children to become familiar with sport from an early age.
School project connects with Aruba Activo
The ministry presented the Fontein Kindergarten football field as part of a wider effort to build physical activity into children’s everyday environment. Officials also linked the project to Aruba Activo, a community event scheduled for September 27 at Bushiri Beach.
The source reported that the field will be available for regular school use. It did not provide a project cost or installation timetable.
