Aruba food security research has reached a new milestone with the presentation of a fifth publication produced through a multi-institution partnership.
Santa Rosa has worked with the University of Aruba and Utrecht University since 2023 on research intended to improve knowledge about the island’s food system and resilience.
Students and researchers collaborate
Eric Mijts, dean of SISSTEM and coordinator of the University of Aruba Research Center, presented the latest results. Santa Rosa director Nathalie Maduro and head researcher Facundo Franken have helped mentor participating teams.
The partners say the Aruba food security research program combines academic analysis with the local experience of agriculture professionals and institutions responsible for the primary sector.
