The report also highlights significant international visitor spending across hotels, restaurants, retail businesses and other parts of Aruba’s economy.

Aruba Tourism July 2026 Visitor Markets

North America remained Aruba’s largest source market during July, accounting for 72.1% of all stayover arrivals.

South America represented 21.6%, followed by Europe at 4.2% and other regions at 2.1%.

The United States was Aruba’s largest individual market, generating 111,236 visitors during the month.

Argentina followed as an important South American market with 16,905 visitors, while the Netherlands remained Aruba’s leading European source market with 3,626 visitors.

Overall, Aruba Tourism July 2026 generated more than one million visitor nights across the island.

International Visitors Spend $184.9 Million

A.T.A. also shared Visa transaction data covering international visitors using cards issued outside Aruba.

From January through June 2026, 304,308 Visa cardholders from 136 countries spent approximately USD 184.9 million in Aruba.

Restaurants and other food establishments received the largest share, accounting for approximately USD 56.7 million in spending.

Accommodation businesses recorded USD 44 million, while the retail sector generated approximately USD 39.3 million.

Visitors also spent money at supermarkets and on transportation, entertainment and other services.

The figures demonstrate how tourism spending is distributed across multiple areas of Aruba’s economy rather than remaining concentrated within a single industry.

The Visa analysis is based on verified transactions made in Aruba using cards issued internationally.

Vacation Rentals Record 62% Occupancy

A.T.A. continues to monitor Aruba’s Short-Term Vacation Rental (STVR) market through the Lighthouse platform.

During July 2026, short-term vacation rentals recorded an average occupancy rate of approximately 62%.

The Average Daily Rate, or ADR, reached USD 384.

According to the tourism authority’s figures, the sector generated approximately USD 36.7 million in revenue during July.

These results indicate continued demand for vacation rentals as an accommodation option for visitors staying on the island.

Tourism Continues to Support Aruba Economy

The latest statistics show the broad economic role of Aruba’s tourism industry.

Stayover visitors contribute not only through accommodation expenses but also through spending at restaurants, stores, supermarkets, transportation providers and entertainment businesses.

With 160,858 stayover arrivals, more than 1.07 million visitor nights and strong short-term rental activity, Aruba Tourism July 2026 delivered significant tourism activity during the month.

The United States continued to dominate arrivals, while Argentina remained an important South American market and the Netherlands led European visitor numbers.

A.T.A. continues monitoring arrival patterns, visitor spending, length of stay and accommodation performance as part of its assessment of Aruba’s tourism industry.
