The Chispito electrical safety tour gave children at Alpha Explorers Camp in Paradera an educational and interactive experience focused on preventing electrical accidents.
The visit marked the third stop of ELMAR’s Electra Discovery Tour 2026, which is travelling to different locations across Aruba to teach children about electrical safety.
Working together with Scol Teatro Aruba TRIBI, the organizers presented a Chispito puppet show titled “Switch On Safety.”
Through the entertaining performance, children learned important rules for avoiding accidents involving electricity. The safety information was presented in a fun and easy-to-understand way.
After the show, every participant received an official Chispito figurine.
The figurine was designed as more than a souvenir. It also serves as an educational tool that can encourage conversations between parents and children about electrical safety in the home.
The packaging includes practical safety advice that families can read and discuss together. Parents and children can then apply the recommended safety rules in their daily lives.
Through the initiative, ELMAR aims to make electrical safety a regular topic of conversation within Aruban households.
The Chispito figurine provides families with a simple and engaging way to continue learning and practising safe behaviour around electricity at home.
The Chispito electrical safety tour will continue visiting communities across Aruba. Its next scheduled stop will be Centro di Famia Piedra Plat.
