ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Minister Dowers Reviews Renovation of Former Casino Affairs Building as the refurbishment of the former Department of Casino Affairs (DAC) office enters its final phase.
Minister of Justice, Integration and Public Transport Arthur Dowers recently visited the government building to inspect the progress of the renovation project, which is nearing completion.
The renovation began after the Department of Casino Affairs temporarily relocated its operations to MFA Paradera. At the time, the former office building was in poor condition and required extensive structural repairs and maintenance.
During the project, crews upgraded the building’s infrastructure and corrected a number of defects that had affected the facility’s functionality over the past eight years.
According to the government, the completed renovation will provide employees with a safer, more functional, and dignified working environment.
Final Stage of the Project
Officials said the renovation has now reached its final stage, with office furniture scheduled to be installed in the coming weeks.
Once fully equipped, the building will be occupied by the Department of Human Resources (DRH), which will carry out specific responsibilities under the Temporary Work Organization (TWO) initiative in support of Aruba’s public service.
Investment in Government Infrastructure
During the inspection, Minister Dowers expressed satisfaction with the progress of the renovation works.
He said the government remains committed to investing in modernizing public infrastructure to create efficient, safe, and professional workplaces for government employees while improving the quality of services provided to the community.
The renovation forms part of broader efforts to upgrade government facilities and strengthen Aruba’s public sector infrastructure.
