The Kingdom dispute proposal received unanimous support in Aruba Parliament’s Central Committee, Parliament President Marlon Sneek told Diario in a report published October 22.
Sneek describes support for the final text
Sneek said the committee had met that morning and supported the final text dealing with disputes within the Kingdom. The report does not separately specify the interview date.
He described the text as the product of work following advice from the Council of State and reviews by legal departments.
Other parliamentary responses still awaited
Sneek said responses from Sint Maarten and Curaçao were still awaited before the supporting notes could move forward and a date could be sought for consideration in the Dutch House of Representatives.
The reported committee support is a further Aruban parliamentary step after the October 15 Tripartite discussions. It is not a report that a Kingdom dispute-resolution law has been enacted.
