ORANJESTAD – The Asociacion Trabao di Hubentud na Aruba (ATHA) is inviting volunteers, youth leaders, parents and anyone interested in working with children and teenagers to participate in its free Training Seguridad Social.
According to ATHA representative Franchesca Heinze, the initiative was developed following a request from a partner organization in the Netherlands and aims to equip participants with practical knowledge to better support children and young people.
The training covers nutrition, first aid (EHBO), current youth challenges such as vaping and drug use, and recognizing and responding to signs of abuse while working alongside families and relevant organizations.
The course is open to anyone aged 14 and older. Participants who complete the training may become volunteers with ATHA or one of its member organizations.
The free training takes place on Saturday, July 18, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Club Don Bosco in Noord. Registration is available through ATHA’s Facebook page, and participants will receive a certificate upon completion.
