Plan Dumfries 2030, a proposed framework for developing San Nicolas, will be presented during a second public forum on September 19, 21 and 22.
Plan follows seven years of research
Suzette Dumfries said the proposal builds on seven years of research into San Nicolas and on findings presented during an earlier forum. The new sessions are intended to address how the city’s development could be organized, financed and carried out.
Financing and implementation structure included
According to Dumfries, the presentation will cover development phases, a financing structure, the entity needed to execute the work, institutional capacity, and the proposed policy and legal basis.
The forum at Teresita Center is expected to include government representatives, financial institutions, investors, organizations already operating in San Nicolas, and local residents. The plan remains a proposal pending the discussions and any later decisions.
