ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Aruba’s Tax Department has announced that taxpayers will no longer receive the traditional orange envelope containing the annual income tax declaration form. Beginning with the 2025 tax year, income tax returns will be submitted exclusively through the BO impuesto (BOi) online portal.
The digital tax return is expected to become available in November 2026, with the official release date to be announced later. Taxpayers will complete and submit their declarations online, upload the required supporting documents and receive an automatic confirmation once the return has been filed.
The department reminded all taxpayers, including married couples, to create their own BOi accounts to access the digital declaration. Those who wish to have an accountant or another representative file on their behalf must first authorize that person through the BOi portal.
Residents are also encouraged to begin gathering the documents needed for their 2025 tax return, including income statements, pension records, bank interest statements, donation receipts and other supporting documentation. The Tax Department said all filing requirements remain unchanged, but documents must now be uploaded digitally in PDF format.
