ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Aruba’s Ministry of Finance, Economic Affairs and Primary Sector has officially launched a public tender for four service contracts aimed at strengthening the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (Santa Rosa).
The contracts, each lasting 36 months, will expand Santa Rosa’s capacity to provide faster assistance to farmers and livestock producers while improving maintenance and infrastructure across the department.
The work includes building maintenance, plumbing, basic electrical repairs, welding, irrigation systems, land preparation, heavy equipment operations, water and fertilizer transport, pest control, harvesting and daily livestock care.
According to Minister Geoffrey Wever, the initiative forms part of the government’s strategy to strengthen Aruba’s primary sector by improving services for local producers and investing in food security, economic development and sustainable agriculture.
Qualified companies may bid for one or more of the contracts, with proposals due by August 18, 2026.
