ORANJESTAD (AAN) – A scooter rider was injured in a traffic collision in Tanki Leendert on Wednesday afternoon after two vehicles attempted to make way for each other at an intersection.
Police and ambulance personnel responded to the scene and determined that a Suzuki Swift traveling downhill had stopped to allow a Toyota Yaris Cross, traveling uphill, to make a left turn. As the Toyota began turning, a scooter attempted to pass and collided with the side of the Toyota before crashing head-on into the Suzuki.
The impact left the motorcyclist injured. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene before transporting the rider to the hospital for further medical care.
Police investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash.
