ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Maria College MAVO has expressed deep sadness following the unexpected passing of former student Sayoha “Leslie” Marcano after her courageous battle while awaiting a heart transplant.
The school described Leslie as a cheerful, positive, respectful and faith-filled young woman who inspired many through her strength, patience and optimism. She was also known for her love of reading and art and for always seeing the good in every situation.
In a heartfelt message, the school’s leadership and teachers extended their condolences to Leslie’s parents, family and loved ones during this difficult time.
Maria College MAVO remembered Leslie as a true fighter whose courage and spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her.
