ORANJESTAD (AAN) – ImSan in San Nicolas is experiencing growing demand for medical services, particularly from residents in the southern part of Aruba. According to Ivy Swaen of ImSan, more citizens are choosing ImSan for healthcare rather than other local options.
Specialty services, including ophthalmology, have seen significant increases, with cataract operations doubling in number. Economic development in the area, including hotels and other investment projects, has contributed to the rising patient load.
ImSan is actively planning to expand services, facilities, and specialized staff to meet the increasing demand. Patients requiring specialized care, such as ophthalmology or radio-oncology, must provide a referral from a primary care doctor or specialist.
The hospital emphasizes that emergency services will also expand in line with regional growth, ensuring that the community continues to receive high-quality healthcare.
