ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Prime Minister Mike Eman expressed satisfaction with recent government measures to strengthen the purchasing power of Arubans. Around 22,000 pensioners received significant increases in their benefits, while over 18,000 minimum-wage workers also see improvements.
The measures include an increase in the reparatietoeslag, benefitting workers with monthly incomes up to Afl. 2,500. PM Eman emphasized that these adjustments directly support vulnerable groups amid rising living costs, enhancing daily life and financial security.
The Prime Minister highlighted Aruba’s commitment to social welfare, healthcare, and education access, noting that these steps set the country apart from many others, where assistance is often being cut. Citizens are encouraged to appreciate the progress and continue working together for a stronger Aruba.
