JetBlue Airways has announced a significant expansion of its flight schedule to Aruba, increasing service between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Queen Beatrix International Airport to daily flights. The change, effective in the second half of 2026, increases frequency from three to seven flights per week.
This expansion is part of a broader strategy by JetBlue to fill the void left by Spirit Airlines, which recently ceased operations due to financial difficulties. Spirit was a major carrier for the Aruban market, and its departure raised concerns about connectivity and affordability for travelers.
In addition to the Aruba route, JetBlue plans to launch seven new routes and increase frequencies on six existing routes from Fort Lauderdale starting July 9, 2026. The move is expected to stabilize travel options between Aruba and Florida, supporting the island’s tourism sector.
