ORANJESTAD (AAN) – On Tuesday morning, police received a report of an assault near Banco di Caribe in Aruba. A patrol unit was immediately dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, officers learned that three unknown individuals had attacked a man, leaving him with pain in his ribs and leg. Police initially assisted the victim by giving him a ride to a nearby location on Panamastraat where he could stay with a friend.
Later that morning, another report was made as the victim complained of increasing pain. Police and an ambulance were again sent to the location. After assessing the situation, the victim was placed under medical care.
Due to multiple urgent cases, the ambulance had to be diverted three times before finally becoming available. After more than an hour, the victim was transported to the hospital for further treatment.
