Illegal Weight Loss Products Raise Health Concerns

ORANJESTAD (AAN): Health authorities in Aruba are warning the public about the dangers of illegal weight loss products circulating in the market.

The Illegal Weight Loss Products Aruba issue was highlighted by Inspector Roselynn Angela from the Department of Medicines, who confirmed that many of these products are being administered through injections by unqualified individuals.

According to officials, some cases involve the reuse of needles on multiple الأشخاص, significantly increasing the risk of serious infections and diseases such as HIV.

The Illegal Weight Loss Products Aruba also pose risks due to poor quality, unknown ingredients, and potential harmful interactions with other medications or existing health conditions.

Authorities noted that many of these products are imported from countries such as Colombia, the Dominican Republic, and the United States, often without proper approval.

Some products are labeled “for research only,” meaning they have not been officially approved for public use, yet are still being sold illegally, including online.

The Illegal Weight Loss Products Aruba situation has raised serious public health concerns, prompting increased inspections and cooperation with customs to control illegal imports.
