ORANJESTAD – WEB Aruba has officially activated a water connection at the Alto Vista Chapel, fulfilling a promise made in December 2025 during the inauguration of the new Alto Vista water tank. The donation was made to support the local community, particularly residents of Noord.
Exactly four months later, during a small ceremony with representatives from the chapel, Santa Anna Parish, and WEB’s Distribution & Customer Service teams, CEO Alfredo Koolman, together with Pastor Santiago, opened the water connection for the first time at Alto Vista Chapel.
To complete the project, WEB employees carried out excavation work and installed a full pipeline network leading to the chapel. The investment for this project was nearly 40,000 florins.
The Alto Vista Chapel receives many visitors daily, both local and international. Volunteers from Santa Anna Parish have been working tirelessly to maintain the chapel as both a sacred site and a tourist destination. Until now, water had to be transported manually for maintenance purposes. With this new water connection, there is now a constant water supply available. Additionally, the parish can now provide restroom facilities at the chapel.
During the ceremony, CEO Alfredo Koolman expressed gratitude to Pastor Santiago and the volunteers for their dedication. He also thanked WEB teams from the Connection, Maintenance, Operations, and GIS departments for their excellent collaboration in making the project a success.
With this donation, WEB aims to contribute to a more sustainable society and hopes that all visitors to Alto Vista Chapel will make good use of the new water connection.
