ORANJESTAD (AAN): During the Common Good Conference this week, various organizations across Aruba shared their experiences and commitment to the common good. One such organization focuses on the senior well-being in Aruba, actively working to address the issues affecting the older generation on the island.

Desiree Helder, director of the Directorate of Elderly Affairs, emphasized that participation in the conference provides an important opportunity to raise awareness about the efforts made to promote the general well-being of seniors in Aruba. These efforts span social, cultural, and care areas to ensure their dignity.

“We are participating in the Common Good Conference to provide more information on what we are doing to improve the senior well-being in Aruba,” said Helder.

The organization hopes the conference will serve as a platform to connect with other organizations and institutions, strengthening communication, creating new relationships, and expanding collaboration. According to them, when organizations come together, it’s possible to achieve a better understanding of the challenges society faces and find solutions that benefit everyone.

Focusing on seniors is essential for balanced social development, and the Directorate of Elderly Affairs believes the Common Good Conference will contribute to better understanding how senior care and integration are part of a healthy and supportive society.

The community is invited to participate actively in the conference and expo, contributing to a future where well-being, respect, and dignity are central to all generations in Aruba.
