Lions Club Organizes San Nicolas Health Fair at Colegio San Agustin in San Nicolas, providing residents with access to various medical screenings. The event, which took place from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., aimed to promote prevention and general well-being within the community.
According to Geraldo Figaroa, a Lions Club member since 2009, this marked the second time the organization has held the fair at this location. Approximately 60 residents attended early in the morning to undergo medical checks. Figaroa noted the positive community response, highlighting that many attendees took advantage of the opportunity to assess their general health condition in a family-friendly environment.
Several medical institutions and organizations participated to offer free services and guidance. Notable participants included Xavier University, the Mary Joan Foundation, and ABO, the latter focusing on digestive health. Smile Mobile provided dental services such as check-ups and cleanings, while Aruba Vision Center conducted vision exams. Additionally, Quota and Fepoh offered hearing checks, and a doctor was present to advise on the correct use of medication.
