ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AAN) — The Maria College multicultural project Aruba successfully engaged all Language and Art teachers at Maria College MAVO as part of the educational theme “Aruba, a Multicultural Country.”
According to Ms. Catherine, a Papiamento and Spanish teacher at Maria College MAVO, students thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of the project, which involved a fictional journey to four different countries. The activity was designed as a practical and interactive learning experience.
“The students were on a tour, but in a hands-on way, and they were very happy. I didn’t receive a single complaint,” Ms. Catherine said.
She explained that all Language and Art teachers participated in the project. The Art department supported the decorative elements, while students actively contributed to the creative process. Language teachers collaborated closely on assessment methods and evaluation criteria throughout the project.
Ms. Catherine added that the intention is to continue and expand the project in the future, starting on a smaller scale and gradually growing it into a larger initiative.
She also expressed her appreciation to the entire Maria College team, external contributors, and volunteers from various fields who supported the project and contributed to its success.
