Late Sunday night, the Central Police Dispatch received multiple reports of an incident at Plaza Turismo, in the Linear Park area.
Initial information was unclear, but reports indicated that an argument between several individuals began to escalate. Witnesses stated that one man, appearing agitated, walked to a Toyota Mark X vehicle, allegedly to retrieve something.
Upon arrival, police received a description of the individuals involved in the antisocial behavior. After canvassing the area, officers located persons matching the description. During the intervention, police discovered a firearm in the possession of one of the individuals.
The suspect was immediately arrested, and a Transport Vehicle was requested to transfer him to the police holding facility.
Authorities emphasized that possession of a firearm in a public area is treated as a serious offense under the law. As part of the investigation, police also confiscated the gray Toyota Mark X, bearing license plate A-64184. A tow truck was called to remove the vehicle from the scene.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
